Deborah joined GSHRDC in 2020. Before her position as Programmes Manager, she had worked in several leadership capacities with National, International NGOs and Corporate organisations. Her experience includes working as the Senior Aftercare Casework Manager with the International Justice Mission (IJM), the National Coordinator of the Gender Violence Survivor Support Network (GVSSN), an Advocate, a Partner and Training Coordinator with the Women’s Initiative and Self-Empowerment (WISE), the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager for Millicom Ghana Limited (TiGo) and the Public Relations officer for the Obuasi Mine of AngloGold Ashanti.
Deborah is a member of the Network of Women’s Rights in Ghana (NETRIGHT) and other networks/ coalitions. She holds a Masters in Project Management and Social Work, from the Wisconsin International University College and the University of Ghana respectively, a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Ghana, and an Executive Certificate in NGO Management.
