Adoma Afful-Kwaw

Project Officer

Adoma Afful-Kwaw has been with the Gender Centre as a Project Officer since September 2020. She got her start in project management through working with non-profits. She started her career with the Nubuke Foundation where she did a series of internships as an undergraduate student and later offered a paid role.

Adoma worked with the Olinga Foundation for Human Development as a Safeguarding and Child Protection Officer. She worked in programmes and projects with ActionAid between 2017 and 2019. Similarly, she volunteered with various organisations such as Oxfam (Enfield) and Mentoring Women Ghana.

She holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and a BA (Hons) in History from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Subsequently, she was engaged as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of History and Political Studies at KNUST under the National Service Scheme.

She has experience in project implementation, fundraising, women empowerment and movement and alliance building. Outside of work Adoma enjoys reading, listening to music and site-seeing.
